Never run before; very excited to do my first race for the benefit of this very worthy cause.
30th October – Trained 3 weeks, managed to run 6kms 2 weeks ago, and as I am doing only 3km, decided that as I knew I could do it, I didn’t need to train!!!
10 days to go and I would be lying if I said that I was looking forward to the actual running! It is all for a good cause though and that is the main thing, that and the great atmosphere this type of sporting event usually create. Roll on 10/11!
The Race is Over
The relay marathon was great fun. The feeling of camaraderie and sense of purpose of the SPECTRUM-GIVEWATTS teams made the whole experience extremely enjoyable, so much so that we are already planning to take part again next year.
