Jonny wilkinsonGrateful thanks to Toulon Rugby Club’s Assistant First Team Coach, Tom Whitford for organising this.

Jonny Wilkinson has kindly donated a signed shirt towards the cause.

This signed Jonny Wilkinson shirt was auctioned at The Spectrum IFA Group’s Economic Forum in Davos in January 2014. Jonathan Goodman outbid others and donated the shirt to his old club, Rugby Club Sitges, where it is now displayed.

The proceeds and auction was in support of the charity GIVEWATTS

RC Toulon is one of Europe’s leading rugby clubs, recent winners of the Heineken Cup, retaining the trophy against the Saracens. They have also won the French national title three times and were runners up in 2010 and 2012 in the European Challenge Cup.

Toulon is along the French southern coast towards Marseille, around 90 minutes from Cannes.

Jonny Wilkinson is considered one of the greatest ever rugby union players and a role model on and off the field. He is famous for his winning drop-goal in the 2003 Rugby World Cup final against the Australians, but has had an illustrious career since and is one of the greatest kickers the game has known, along with other attributes such as his technical and tactical reading of the game and an extremely brave tackler. Jonny is enjoying a remarkable tail-end to his professional career with this exciting French side.
