Michael began his career in Financial Services in 1998 and has worked for firms including Royal Liver Assurance, Britannic Assurance, Bradford & Bingley and Clyde Property. He specialises in advising ex-patriates in connection with their pension requirements (including QROPS), investments and inheritance tax planning. When advising his clients on their investment strategies, he also ensures that any financial issues are anticipated before they occur, working together to prioritise any areas of concern. Having moved to Luxembourg in 2008, Michael fully understands the Luxembourg State Pension system and the provisions it offers, enabling his clients to understand the impact of this when they reach retirement age. He now works between Luxembourg and Brittany, covering the north of France in between. It’s fair to say that he spends quite a bit of time on the road!
Michael was founder of The Business Lunch in Luxembourg, a monthly networking event to help foster relationships between the English speaking business community. This initiative really took off and there are now regular business lunches and events being held in Paris, Madrid, Barcelona and Amsterdam.
Michael graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a BSc in Quality Management & Business Studies and also holds a full Financial Planning Certificate from the UK.
